You know I can rember ,not so long ago, when it was fun to log on to the forum here and either learn someting or pass on some new product or methoud of prospecting or mining. love to hear of others adventures and plan some of my own.
But any more it is all about fighting the other factions. It is just not fun any more.
I used to love comming up with neat things even came up with a new way to use a gold pan( swizzel pan) to get fine gold out of it. Without enthusium and excitement I would never come up with any Ideas (Rolling Wonder Dredge). Now I feel sorry to come into prospecting only to see it fade under the foot of people who live to cause trouble.
The way to fix this is to remove yourself from their grasp, low profile , no signal fires, do your thing without disturbing much and slip out of their grip before they get any thrill out of making you squirm.

All that a forum is ,is a reflective mirror of the current times attitudes,platitudes,opinions,current conditions and covenents. has nothing to do with prospecting, is a endever of some to do what they feel makes them feel better and more elevated above the rest of the pack.
If you want the fire to burn , and the fire would too, add fuel.
may be you should look to what winds your clock.

i believe that the way things are going so changes will a cure with out protesting or doing anything.the gov is going broke and we are in the same boat.soon fed and state gov will be hard pressed to get anyone to do anything. especially patrols for people like us out in the woods.they will have there hands full in the concrete jungle.the ones doing any patrolling will be scared s*** less.we are not hurting anything and the people working for dfg know that.they will have way bigger fish to fry than us dredgers.the harder you are to find the less they want to mess with you.ive been dredging for thirty years with a 5in and not once have i been asked about a permit.in washington. sometimes i had one sometimes i didnt.

I guess you can say the samething about the moonshiners delima! theyre still after them and they have their own TV show. maybe the dopers need their own TV show aswell! if some ranger shoes up at your location, tell him your just shoting a TV show and it aint real, just lots of drama! tell them your dredge is just a prop and it aint real!

Discovery and National Geo channels have ripped open the so called mining industry with their contrived shows tearing out 1,000s of trees,killing every critter that moves,tearing down hillsides,tearing up creeks and this has decimated the industry. Now for the many who never knew or cared what we do--which is not whats on these stinkn' shows--is what's perceived as normal activity. New rules,regs,plans,inspections and all the rest have killed off the industry and each and every state is attacking mining in every form. The reason the fun fun fun is not posted anywhere near as much is because IT'S SO FAR AND FEW BETWEEN as now overregulated to death. I ain't missed no point I've hit it right on the head--between horrific overexposure of lies the industry is on it's deathbed and going down and near impossible to do anything without being criminalized. We'll never agree ,thank god ,and I don't give a flying furry f as my beloved mining becomes just yet another chapter in the history books of yet another bygone era of mining men perish-John
