I've just picked up a Harvey's 7mm wetsuit for a very reasonable price at a consignment shop here in Ohio. It's in like new condition and I felt at $30 I couldn't go too wrong. My question is has anyone had any experience with Harvey's suits are they any good?. I just sold my old suit a 6mm Performance suit and it was a good suit had it in 45 degree water and only my face and hands were cold but I out grew it and had to go XL . Any thoughts on the Harvey's Material, zippers, durability Thanks

Doesn't seem to matter which brand I used, I am always mending up the knees.
I prefer Tilos with titanium liners and have been using for quite a few years with very good results.

I have been a Harvey fan for many years,25 at least, and they are made tough. BUT Frank at pioneer is selling suits(no marked mfg)that use a closed cell style,they do require a little more weight, and I've never even fired up my wetsuit heater in over 5 years since I got it. Extremely ez to get in/out and very soft too. The MOST comfortable suit I have even worn. And go to the dollar store /hardware store/Harbor Freight and just get some knee pads,cut up a inner tube to make your own,glue rubber to your knee protectors on the suit. GET A PEE ZIPPER is the absolutely most important part of a new suit I can think of. I've spent years clawing at my suit desperately trying to extracate myself from it to do my duties and NEVER PEE IN YOUR SOUP,#2 IS A NIGHTMARE-tons a au 2 u 2 -John

To help protect my knees and shin bone I use a pair motocross knee/shin guards. Just use some duct tape to help keep them on. Wetsuit didn't have a scratch on it after last years dredging season.

#2 is known as "brown suiting", and I imagine is most undesirable.
Perhaps take it easy when Leonard is using double dose jalapenos.

PizzaMan burned his suit in the Rucky Chucky Rapids after a brown suit incident--like the phrase, as my god the poor ol'SOB WAS BROWN ALLRIGHT!! John
