No prospecting!

Postby golden optimist » Tue Apr 16, 2013 6:35 am

At least for a few days. After 2 days of snow we are scheduled for another 2 days. Great! We really needed it. The nice thing is I don have to drive 45 miles to get to work. I'm snuggling up with my computer.

Pat and friends are planning on going prospecting at Buena Vista. I'd almost bet he can''t even get there. If he's smart, he'll stay home. We'll see.

Leonard,

Pat & Gary made it up O.K. They are at High Hopes now...

I met the yesterday & we sluiced for a couple hours together. Got a little fine gold...

Got 2 inches of wet, heavy snow this morning here. Melting off now... Maybe go back and visit them tomorrow.

It was so cold we froze our arse' s off!!  Wed, 17 Apr, woke up at 4 am to hit the pot and it was 5 outside, and 32 inside the trailer. Forgot to switch propane bottles night before, so furnace quite at the most critical time. We left around 8:30 am. Even though the sun is shining in the background and skies are blue, it COLD. Left and went to Antero Reservoir for a couple days of fishing before it's drained 1 May, due to the summer drought. Am asking Leonard for help on posting some pictures I took the day we left.

well Pat, one thing you didnt have to worry about is keeping your food cold! or anybody floating by you messing with your gear.
