Depending on the field if work you are in. Omaha (metro area) is a good central location low unemployment rate, decent schools.

Heck I'm a military retiree. I wouldn't dare bash my fellow military brothers & sisters. Colorado Springs and the near by areas, that is if the fires and rain don't make em disappear, is a super sized military town therefore employers get away with paying lower wages is all I was attempting to point out.

I can understand why your wife would want to come to Denver. It's beautiful there. Less than a couple of hours away is some of the most famous skiing areas around. But....., $16.00 less per hour is a big slice of the pie. Six-eight months of saving up the difference will pay for a nice two week vacation to the Rockie Mountains!

Well, it's official. I arrived in Denver yesterday. I'm sitting at the clinic waiting to pee in a cup. I only brought clothes and my prospecting gear. I stopped off of 470 to fill up with diesel when I hit town and noticed that my tailgate was coated with oil. I either broke a ring or burned a hole in a piston. The old truck has just over 230k miles on it and that cummins shouldn't have broke down yet. Anyway, does anyone know of a reasonably priced mechanic around here? I could do the job, but don't have a place to do it yet.

I am spending every spare minute with a realtor looking for a house. So if anybody knows of a good deal on a 4+ br on some land in the mountains, within driving distance to Lakewood, I'm looking.

Actually, I've had my truck for 13 years and I've never needed a mechanic. I've had my house for 39 years so I don't know any realtors either.
