EightyMesh and DJR, great links. I'll have to read them when I get more time. Here's another 2500 page jem, though i havent searched for it in Ebook form.
I have a second edition: Mining Engineers' Handbook, by Robert Peele, Second editon circa 1927. New York, John Wiley and Sons, Inc. London: Chapman and Hall , Limited, Total issued, 25,000
I try and read as much of it as I can, when I can, however for me I get as much through it as if it were the Bible at a time. It tends to be overload on my system.
It has everything from Geology, placer, lode, recovery methods, how to's, mining law and the list goes on and on. It is 2500 pages and I havent even scratched the surface of this book.
American miners measure in Grains and Pennyweights.
