Cant take it... its been 9 days since anyone made a new comment. I guess spring fever has hit early.
So I hit a sweet deal on craigslist. Some guy has a a oil packaging machine he was testing and I am trading him a old A51 hand sluice for 10 gallons of once pumped but otherwise unused synthetic motor oil.

Gold show tomorrow....should be fun.

I got the harley tore all apart for new paint and as soon as that project is done I have the bits and pieces of a 3" dredge to put together

Anyone else have winter projects on the burner?

yep im building a 2 inch dredge to test some mattings and various sluices that i made from ABS plastic. its a all alum frame that i Tig welded and it has inflatable cylindrical floats ,real similar to Keenes older float but heavier duty and a bit longer.one of the sluices is a over under and the other sluice is a crashbox with a single level.i have some Gold Hog,Veranda carpet, and some Vortex to try out in this dredge.plus i sold my 2 inch Proline dredge a few years back and i kinda miss it.plus i had all of this material in my garage and i need to clean it out so out of all of this eccess material comes winter projects. and it seems that its slow on almost all websites this winter.

Moderate attendance at last weekend's WPMA Gold Show and I was there supporting Black Jack's Detectors and Mining Equipment. They purchased Liberty Resources last year. Saw lots of old mining friends and several of us decided that we are up to making another AU pilgramage down to the Umpqua River in late July. Cheers.

Hi Leonard, FYI, I'm not dredging in Oregon nor plan to send the non-refundable $150 surcharge to the DEQ when I may not even get a permit.

Plan to only work upper benches at least twenty five feet above water source...working above stream gravels and bedrock cracks with Hydro Force nozzle and my high-banker drawing only water from stream source. I do not even plan to wade into the river as I might dislocate a rock or two and we all know that, thanks to the enviro-nutz, rocks have eminent domain over human beings in Oregon.

Outflow will not return directly into stream but flows into containment pond. We do same up here.
