Nice chat with Hoser!

Postby MadJack » Sat Mar 01, 2014 4:48 pm

Got a surprise call from John this afternoon and had a great chat about the good old days when we first met on these forums.
Well that, current events, Leonard, dredging, getting old, and more about Leonard.... LOL
Wife and I are planning another trip West this Spring/Summer to meet as many of you guys a possible, do some prospecting & metal detecting, visit family, and do as much writing and filming as I can squeeze in. After last summer's trip to Cali and missing connecting with John Oats, I intend to make a point to meet and prospect with as many of you guys as I can before the SHTF or I'm too old or poor to do it.

Tired of just reminiscing, It's time to spend the kids inheritance and make a few more incredible memories! I've always said "I'd rather sit on my porch with memories than dreams" and it's time to add more memories to my life of adventures.
So lock your doors or make room in your driveway John, I'm heading your way! Leonard, RussAU, and anyone else, I'd like to share a campfire-stories-time on the gold with you fellers while time and my health allows.

Here's to 2014!

Our original plan was to leave Maine mid April and possibly return to Maine in June or early July. Due to legal issues with a right of way on our property, our leave date may be pushed to the end of April to early May.
We are hoping to make stops in NY, OH, OK, AZ, CO, & CA. Schedule of when we will be where is completely fluent at this point.
I have always wanted to meet the CCC, plus I have some very cool invites to prospect and dredge in most of the above states.

You folks make your summer plans and let me know. We will make all the gatherings we possibly can. After all this is to be an adventure!

:D ALWAYS great to talk to old friends and Jack your indeed a pleasure to jabberjaw with. I must agree that spending some of them kids inheritance is a great idea for the summer. Leonards claims just might be quite a busy place this summer as close to his home in case of emergency. All the Js should be there-Jack-Jose-and even Ron Rico would be a guest too?? GREAT bs fest with Russau too yesterday and us old dredge dogs are all raring to go....albeit a mite more careful with our aging bodies but the SPIRIT is stronger, alonger with stronger spirits that is  Wish ya all the luck in the world Russau with that monster storm coming your way bud, sure sounds like your prepared for purt' near anything. Anyhow-nice talkn' to ya'all-John

If all goes well and Leonard, John, and Ed willing, Christina and I could be on the Arkansas for Memorial Day. I might not have more than a day or two off this year, as I start a new job in the morning. I'm looking forward to meeting you in person, Jack.

if its workable with Leonard and the CCC boys, this ought tobe the event of the year for me! the last time i talked with Leonard, he told me that the requirements/regulations are getting a little tighter this year. heck ill sit out while someone else works ONLY if Leonard and I can watch while sipping some sort of cold beverage!:) and maybe a quick little comment towards how slow they are compaired to what we "used to do" :):)
