Gast Compressors

Postby Ornery Cuss » Wed Mar 26, 2014 3:54 pm

For those of you that utilize a Gast compressor on your dredge and are in need of a rebuild, kits are available.

Kits come with gaskests, rings, valve plates, inserts for the filters, and small pieces of rubber tubing that I'm not sure what they are for yet.

From the distributer that I used, it was $106.00 plus tax of course and readily available.

I ordered one kit just to see if rebuilding was feasible. Very easy if you pay attention and mark the parts before disassembly. Maybe 1 1/2 hrs, back in service.

Gast recommends a rebuild after 4000hrs.

I will be doing several more shortly.

Gast compressors Rock. Wouldn't consider any other. 8-)

I think just the link is gone. I'll have to add it to the menu. I probably only posted it on the forum. There's only the t80 and it's here.

I've never had a Gast. I did use one once and really loved it.
I was having trouble downloading it though but my connection runs slow sometimes.

John,

It's not so bad.....as long as it's not YOUR x-wife.

Someone else's x can always be fun.
