No but sure wish I could as great folks to spend time with. I'm in the midst of a fight to stop over 600,000 cubic yards of gravels into clear creek here. Usual marathon to collect data and stop the total decimation of a 33 miles of creek in the name of salmon habitat. I dredged the gravels that were utilized in the feasability study but now they've gone apesquat and are going to kill a whole watershed. Ignoranus bureauratz. John

Hoser, I know what you mean, it just never ends.... I'd love to spend time doing things I want to instead of fighting

I wrote this Resources Coalition response to the "Fish Not Gold" Fly Fishing Freaks who are trying to end dredging in Washington State!

Our Response Statement To Fish Not Gold

I don't want the same mess here in WA State as California, but it's coming!

FNG are the type a folks I'd just love to cram a huge marlin hook down their throats and then rip it out with a pair a pliers and say"See that didn't hurt ya at all" as their throat is being slowly ripped out. But let them go , as you know they'd all live just fine from such horrendous treatment .....such BBBBBSSSSSSSSSS. Just go to your fish and game dept sight and invest some time ,like I did in kalif ,and see the records on how many MILLIONS of permits to slaughter fish are issued BOTH to in and outta staters. Also stated are the facts and fiqures(as required by law) on how many days a year these millions are out there slautering fish. Then count the 100s a millions they generate and let the truth set ya free as many 100s a millions in fees from ocean, inland fisheries raked into state coffers. The whole mess comes down to their "pristine outdoor experience being marred by your simple presence in "THEIR" great outdoors. sic sic sic shat-John PS-nice statement but now add some more content to flesh out the extent of the their decimation in relation to the miniscule number of dredgers as a few hundred vs a million at least X days fished each a year.............

John, couldn't of said it better if I tried for several days, but not all fishermen are bad there are some that catch fish so they can eat them after a hard day of finding some gold or while on a hunting trip, the rest are idiots!!!

I absolutely refuse to fish or hunt as after spending a lifetime out in the forests, lakes and streams it'd be like shooting friends. It's your right to do so I just refuse to partake. I abhor catch and release as a scam. If a mans hungry eat'm otherwise observation works just fine for me. Exceptions to every rule---po'd bears, rattlesnakes and crankster gangsters are open season all the time to me  I know ,a double standard, but never had a trout or deer attack me. John

MadJack is now clear of Cali.

Had a great time with Mike & Mike near Quincy CA, great little claim and we were seriously considering dropping the 2 1/2" dredge in but remembered the 16 USFS trucks we saw on the way up there! Great country there and great people to hang with.

Made it out to Redding, got there around 5:45 PM. Ol' Hoser invited us in and fed us homemade stew and fresh baked cornbread! Not expected but sure was appreciated after all that time on the road.
Got a lot at the Redding RV Park, cheap enough, clean & friendly if anyone happens by that area. John showed us around, took us to the auto-parts-store for some fix-ups, then around to several places he's worked in the past. Fantastic tour and history lessons, the man knows his territory!
Thanks for everything John, hope to be back some day bud. And yes, it was great to meet you as well!
