Matt and Connie back home

Postby golden optimist » Sun May 11, 2014 2:20 pm

Matt and Connie just completed another great adventure. Of course the camera went along. They sold their trawler and delivered it to Maryland. Follow them in the video's below.

I posted this a few minutes ago on the SuperCub website (where we talk all things aviation - even Husky) and thought I'd let all of you on the mailing list know we're back, we're safe, and we're done:

Some of you that know me well know that I had another occupation other than commercial pilot, a&p etc., etc. and that was 100 ton CG Master. Connie and I hung that certificate up on the wall last night. 23 years and I'm done (and in case you're wondering, that career is intact - never had to call the CG or get towed in - the aviation career, well, not so much - I bent my share of sheet metal and enough for yours too). Thanks to all of you that followed the trip - was quite an experience for us both and hopefully for you as well. Flying and boating go together like glue - many of the same skills involved, and if your flying days end (and they will), swap over and don't miss a single beat. Safe sky and safe waters to you. Matt & Connie

Hi Matt & Connie:

Glad your back home safe and sound. Sad to have to say good by to an old friend. I'm sure "Mischief" gave you both lots of great memories to think back on.

Thanks for the video travel log, I enjoyed riding along with you both. Looks like you had good water all the way and were prudent in your trip plans. I'm sure "Mischief" will be in good hands with her new captain and crew.

We all have to live our lives one day at a time and make the most of them.

Best wishes and may the wind be at your backs.

I had a little time at the wheel of the Mischief. It was out of sight of anything that I could run into so there wasn't much danger.
