I shot about 5 minutes of Ed and Corky dredging. Myself, Ed, Melanie and Corky arrived on the 3rd. Dave came on the 4th. The weather was great! The morning of the 5th there was ice and frost on everything. During the day it was in the high 70's. Didn't get rich with gold but it was great for the original CCC to get together.

Great to hear the CCC rode again and all are OK-thanx as needed a positive fix as FS sent final papers on claim stealing scam saturday.....new one called SEGREGATION,wow can't do it to colored folk but white miners claims now is open seaon..John

Was DC running high enough to float your dredges?

It was really pretty high. You could have floated down most of it on inner tubes. We were looking for you there.

It would have been great to hang out with the CCC again! Hoping the water's still up in August.

You guys ever run into Paul Allred up there?

Douglas Creek was running a little above average. The floods of a couple of years ago has really redistributed gravels. Old pay sites are gone, all the dredge holes filled in.
Water temperature was not too cold. Air temperature was good.
What was very different was pulling into the Flats campground with only four or five other trailers there, on the 3rd of July. By the 1st, all the good spots (the level ones) are taken. Cheyenne GPAA meeting was delayed until this coming weekend, but still.

By the way, Old Wise One- you put your hat in my trailer so it wouldn't get wet. I will keep it there for ya.
