DUMP your cookies and get rid of your old login info for the old site, if you haven't done it yet.
That should help, there is conflict between the old and new.

Dump my cookies or lose my cookies...doesn't matter. I see it's still at a snail's pace this fine Easter Sunday! Web traffic doesn't make THIS site slow. Every other favorite website I visit is still lightning fast. Only Gold Dredger dot com is slooooow.

Hope you can kick your web guys in the arse and get a head of steam built up here. I'm rooting for you.

I got a need for speed!!

Here's their answer. I'll keep trying to get them to fix it but they are checking it from their data center. It may work normally there but it sure sucks from this end. I will try optimizing the data base but that won't solve anything either as it can't be that big for as short a time as it has ran.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Support.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. I have checked your forum at the URL: http://golddredger.com/forum and it is loading at normal speed. Could you please check it once again after clearing browser cache and cookies? You need to optimize the database, so that your forum will not load slowly. To get the information about the optimize the database, you need to search in the Search Engines.

If you have any further questions, please update the Support Console.

Sincerely,

Sharon Adams

My reply:

It may run ok from your location but for everyone else out of your area it is exceedingly slow. It is taking 30-60 seconds and more to perform any action. I've emptied my browser and deleted cookies with absolutely no improvement. I will try optimizing the database tomorrow but it really can't be that big as I've only had the forum for a couple of months. About 3 days ago it ran perfectly and was quick. I had many comments about how you must have done something to improve the speed. It's reaction seems to vary greatly from time to time but today it is absolutely horrible.

I don't know if there is a way for you to check it from outside you location but that must make a difference if it runs normally for you and very slow for everyone else

I'll keep trying.

Well...Slow, maybe, but keeps it honest at least and singles out the impatient.

What about a week ago it was blazing fast, at least for Russ and I. Must be a server issue Leonard.
