Thats not dredge hose. That's the kind of stuff they use to blow in insulation. I think the banding is radial not spiral and if you use it on a dredge, as soon as you put it against a rock the suction will make it collapse like an accordion. However, at the current price compared to the cost of real hose it may be worth a try, you wont lose much if it doesn't work

Actually take a second and look a little closer. It is from a street sweeping auction. The top piece is pretty worse for the wear BUT bottom piece looks to be in much better condition. Spiral bound and not a wrap but some of that stuff is pretty beefy. Those street/lot sweepers suck quite hard. It's not ike that tissue paper most dredge makers sell it's much thicker and you'll get some good use out of it as industrial tough. I've seen some used that was ok and some that when plugged, as Bonaro mentioned ,closes up like a accordian-great explaination,funny seeing a 16' hose become 8' in the matter of a few seconds. Price is righteous ,go for it as I sure would-John

Looks yellow and black, might be hard to see any plug ups that's in it?

Dirt and dust,them cobbles will clean that hose in a few hours of use. Just be glad not septic tank pumper hose as it can be quite odoriferous for awhile-John

I go to these auctions a lot and sometimes you do run into great deals and most other times the people bid to hi and run me off. sometimes if you are present at these auctions and rather than bidding the price up , ask the high bidder if he would consider selling the particular item rather than you two bidding against each other. at one auction I bid for a bunch of fileing cabinets and when it was over and I won several people came up to me and asked if id sell them some of them. BOY im glad I did sell them because the auction threw in several more cabinets and I wouldn't of had room in my truck to carry them all , and theyed probly be gone if I had to make 2 trips. I made enough off these cabinets to pay for my entire bid! I was happy!

I looked and just cant see a spiral but thise pics really are hard to see...if I were closer and needed 6" I would buy it

Yes and it WAS a XXXtty deal too. Busted my hose in the Carson River back in the 80s and NO hose anywhere so my buddy who had a special industrial sump pumper for grease,septics lent me a section till my order came in. GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSTTT had to keep it underwater just to get away from the smell...but it worked just fine-John
