Been a while since I posted here (sorry Leonard!) but some of you see my posts on Treasurenet. Thought I'd provide a little gold porn for those waiting out the winter :) this is a gram of gold from a couple hours of sluicing in my current honey hole!

Note: oddly you have to move the pic around to see the whole image...weird.

That will definitely put a smile on our face. :D
Funny you should say that. Were having a white Super Bowl here. It's snowing now and they say were due to get 11 inches by Mon.
So much for global warming!

:D Great gold and IN town, well that is bloody fabulous. No huge travel time required sure makes the hunt easier and more productive, Went to my local claims yesterday but icey windy cold. Extreme climatic changes are what global warming is all about and not just heat. The hottest year in recorded history was last year AND the coldest winter also. Ain't like them chinamen and the rest of us will do squat about pollution. Highway to hell and I'm too busy to even care much anymore, just in a defensive position trying to save what I have. Coveth that great hideyhole as it's sure nice'n golden-John

Kevin,

Ha. Well...............WELL DONE!!! :P

Love that gold prospector gold "porn" money shot..... Ha. Nice selection of bigger flakes, medium and smaller flakes too. What recovery device are you using?

Are you there at the little park, below the Hyw 36 overpass? Leonard took me there many years back, and I loved it, did well too in just a few hours, but never a gram.

Keep showing us all that there's still gold to be had!

Nebraskadad,

Leonard took me to that little city park on Clear Creek right below the Hwy 270/36 overpass in downtown Denver... Nice flood gold in the top 5 to 10 inches of most any gravel bar there...

Just look at a city map. Take Hwy 36 North off I-70, come off at the 1st exit, work your way over to the park. Pan and sluice only I understand. However, I've seem a lot of videos of Red & Mike running/testing their Gold Cube there... Maybe battery powered bilge pumps are O.K.?

I have several Trip Reports and videos from that spot...
