i am not posting much about your winch, but i am following with much interest. for me you need to get a bit further along. i need to drive 5 hours to buy the parts and pieces. it will end up being a 2 day trip to the city really don't like going to the city at all.....

As said "no rush" more of a side project, way off to the side, PRIORITIES.
Will be satisfied if I have it done by this time next year.

Working on the trommel and driving truck so as I have some sort of budget for this mining season. Just about there, too.
Actually I was going to take the splined shaft in to a machine shop next week and have it turned on the ends so I can start in on making up the engagement shaft.
Ahh..prorities, I will keep working on the winch, a little at a time but have to focus on other prorities too.

I haven't abandoned this project or forgotten about this thread. I will try to have some more pictures soon.
