You get exposed to a lot of different things. Some of them are even neat! Not Ed in a speedo though :o :o :o These were from last week. One went to almost 5,000 feet and drifted off the pad 6100 feet before it landed.

Let me tell more.
One of the managers at work has really gotten bit hard by the amateur rocketry bug.
He has gotten all the right licenses, and has a great start on a launch pad. The launch control system is really special- the box was recovered from one of the launch pads in Florida that dates back to the 50’s.
But, the electrical systems was not quite adequate for the job. Manager asks if anyone is able to help redesign/rebuild the system. Now, I am a little short with electrical system <snicker> but, I know someone who knows a little more than I do.
Enter Leonard with his vast array of talents.
He worked with some of the guys and redesigned and rebuilt the control box. The results are shown in these few photos. All for a great volunteer clause., Way to go Leonard!

this is a good topic. I have been building a rocket with my nieces little girl. Alisha is a hole 4 years old. she lives getting glue all over the place, lol its just a small Estes rocket with A8-3 motors. for her its like building the space space program. at the rate were building it about the end of spring she will be flying it. nest time she is over i will need to show her this post. i cant wate till she pushes the button and the rocket takes off. i have a feeling she may make it to the real space program.
save a tree, eat a squirrel.
