Back home with a nice bucket of cons and some great memories. Only a hand full made the drive up from Seattle area to Peshastin Creek but weather was mid-60s, sunny skies, pleasant and comfortable for t-shirt work and the stream flow provided us with adequate water. Hope to run cons thru my Gold Cube next week.
Tested a new Keene recovery system on my MAXX hi-banker, which worked great. It's not on the market...as of yet. We tried several different setups and most worked effectively. We also used a HydroForce 2" nozzle along with a high-pressure nozzle which really ate into the bars and benches. A side benefit is that this unit also appears to be self-cleaning and the micro fine gold was found in the expanded metal grid in the lower section. We took out about two cups of very fine (and heavy) cons (black and blond sands) in each clean up. Small rocks and pebbles were gone. Gold under forty mesh was retained in the upper section and in the Miracle Mat. Made me wonder how much gold has passed thru my sluice in the many years I have been dredging.
Keene may have this system available next year and perhaps as a retrofit. Ask Mark Keene about it. They are preparing some photos and an article on this test model sluice recovery system.
As for my adventures I found very fine gold in the areas previously mined confirming that there is still gold to be found on this claim. All that went up on this outing found some gold. All the best.
