Dredgeing??

Postby russau » Thu Sep 01, 2016 4:12 pm

Perfect weather here BUT everything is flooded . SSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOO today and I went out and bought a new tarp for the dredge and hoses. Kinda of a "welcome home" gift for the dredge. :D

You need to get some of that "new" equipment into the water and run a bit of gravel before winter sets in in Misery!

Glen your absolutely correct BUT the flooding has been going on all Spring - Summer and now it looks like Fall may be a short one. Right now Im thinking of getting a wet suit heater for this comeing cold snap!

I did just that with my great bud Bob RIP and we got good gold right here in the middle of Redding on Magnolia ave during a horrendous storm. Only a 2" but we built a berm and didn't float it and used some recirc water with the fresh. Not anything new as Bob would get bored and pan the driveway in a tub when his claim went dry. Miss my best mining partner ever much.....John

Good partners are better than wives. Much more dependable. Cheaper, too!

getting old and sore really sucks! I sure miss getting out with the CCC guys and just getting out around here. ive even asked (on the net) if anyone would like to learn to dredge for a weekend and NO replys. November is our all gold meeting on the otherside of Misery and Im going to go with my wife and Im bringing a few smaller items to sell . Several of these items some of the moprospectors have asked about and we agreed on a price . Im trying to get some interest going toeards dredgeing or just getting out. it seems that a lot of clubs are getting to be a social club that just like to sit and watch and let someone else do the work. Im wanting to buy some Gold Hog matting and put it into the 4 inch dredge to try it out BUT its to heavy for me just to move it around OR down to the water for that matter! My time is coming like Leonard but I want to give it one more go before I pull the plug.
