Hands and pans only

Postby joe of pville » Thu Apr 22, 2010 9:36 pm

I was in Pioneer Mining in Auburn today and was informed that down at the hwy 49 bridge was hands and pans. I left wondering why since before you could use a sluice, shovel, crowbar, snipng equipment. In less than a year, they've taken away dredging, and hand tools, now you can't even use a rocker box. There was more freedom when this country started than now. I don't know if this applies to the whole Auburn rec area. Our fore fathers died for freedom once...

First I heard of that.
How was old Frank holding up, at least it sounds like his doors are still open.
