Gold Cube Gadget

Postby libertydave » Thu Feb 23, 2017 9:06 pm

It's always fun to check out new mining tools and gadgets at gold shows. Last Saturday in a couple of show booths I found a small plastic tailings tray designed specifically for the Gold Cube. Anyone who owns a Gold Cube knows that the discharge slot in lowest 'Cube' dumps the tailings into your tub and the accumulation of these tailings can be a challenge. This plastic try offers a solution as it fits snugly between the lowest Cube and the metal support stand and it redirects the tailings away from the 'cube' and into a bucket...which resolves the above problem.

Since I frequently use my Gold Cube I decided I had to have one of these plastic trays. I pulled out a ten dollar bill, gave it to the sales person told her that I wanted to purchase the tray. She said "that will be $49.95"....plus tax". I gasped...fifty bucks??? I set it down and decided I'd make one in my home shop.

If anyone knows who makes these gadgets tell them that they are charging way too much it. LD

$50.................... WOW! For a tray. I really like my Gold Cube also BUT I'd have to pass on that also.

Can't recall the supplier but saw them at booths selling the Gold Cube units. I'm certain that Mike at Gold Cube would know the manufacturer.

We have a GPAA gold show here (Puyallup, WA) on Mar 18-19 and the same vendors usually return. I can find out then.

I really liked my Gold Cube while I had it BUT I just don't have enough cons to justify having it ! SO it reluctantly got sold!
