The great Blue Heron has returned to Colorado for the summer. There is a large nesting colony near here. I'm still learning on my camera and this isn't very good. I'll have better later.

Our bald eagles are back but herons, white, just hit the river and split for other places. Wow that's a huge nest. John

There's a nesting colony of a dozen or so nests in this spot. We watched them last year as that's when we found them. I want to get more pictures before the trees leaf out.
