What happened with the webtv?
Good to see you. Keep posting. That picture couldn't have been New Mexico with all that fog. Things have changed a lot since I was at Nome on 2008. I don't know what you have to do now.

If you haven't seen these take a look.

Now I know it's the real Grivy. I didn't believe it without the webtv.

Hey there Grivy!

Caliphonia - no.

Oregonia - no

And LEONARD, from all that I have heard "the beaches of Nome" that you saw in '04 (and that I did in '06) are supposed to be MUCH different now. No camping on the beaches (How stupid is that?), no beach mining (How stupid is that?), and, in general, a fear that somehow all the TV Reality Crap will ruin living in Nome (meaning lets "regulate" the dredgers to as severe a level as possible - to make them all go away).

Remember all that 'explaining' that went on about how "resurfacing Mining Districts" would save (would save!) our ability work without oppressive regulation? Remember how those Mining Districts would have an even footing with US & AK DNR, USFS and all the other state and federal regulators (who still act with no consequences to their actions)?

Well, put Nome under the magnifying glass and see just how that concept worked out in the end.

So, Grivy, you might just do a bit of research on pretty much exactly what to expect if you do decide to go to the (OMG!) trouble and expense to travel to Nome - ""For the Mining Experiences there"".

I don't even have a single friend up here mining anymore...too many tickets and takings of equipment, fines etc. Detecting is about it but now summer is here early and so hot and a massive amount of rattlers and ticks, Good long winter helped out the wrong critters. Take care-John
