DOG HELP

Postby getterdone » Mon Feb 19, 2018 3:33 pm

Had a dog this just love to gather rocks & go on the river, This is about a trip
with a Club in Canada where we were allow to pan only on a gravel bar.
The fellows working above had about 2 days digging this trench & had not found
a lot of gold but my dog was keeping a eye on them and also did a little digging
in this trench.
My buddy & I were working on this same bench and in the late afternoon a Young
man came down on the gravel bar & stated I just bought a gold pan what do I need
to do to get so gold. We told him just roll over one of them big rocks & pan the
material you find under it. About 15 minutes later he came to use with his gold
pan and ask is this gold that I got. He had a large nugget about the size of your
thumbnail. We told him we thought so but go up & check with those guys that
having been digging that trench. We had a good laugh.

It was during this same outing that a young man & women stopped on this gravel
bar where we were working had also just bought a gold pan and ask for instructions
on how to pan for gold. We advised them what to do and also advised them that
gold can come in different looking colors depending what other minerals might
be present. The young lady told us that she had just got her College degree from
the University of British Columbia as a Geologist and advised us that gold is only found
in one color.
