Elk 3/15/2018

We saw a big elk herd just out of Loveland today. We also saw another herd about 3 miles further down the road. This herd was on both sides of the highway. We pulled over and parked to watch them. Some of them were about 15 feet from the truck and they just ignored us.

Hi Leonard:

More nice photo's and the herds look to be healthy and doing well. I do like the camera your using and the zoom is outstanding.

Hope all is well and things are fine.

We drove by there today and they had moved about a mile down the road and were in someones back yard. They seem to be pretty tame and just ignore people. They were on one side of the house and there was a guy working on the lawn on the other side.

The big elk herd has moved about 1 mile south. These pictures are of the whole herd. One picture was one side of a driveway and the other picture is the other side of the driveway. We saw a smaller herd of about 30 a mile north of the big herd. These are about 8 miles from our house.

These pictures are something I don't see here in Misery and I really enjoy them!

We saw some elk last year but this year we evidently found where they hang out and we see them almost every time we go out. Whats neat is they just seem to ignore people as yoy can see all the houses around them.
