I heard on the news that the flood waters around here in Misery problem wont go down for the next 4 to 6 weeks. and to top that off , this morning I took our dog out to pee at 4:45 AM and heard 9 gun shots about 1 miles away (?) and then heard another shot about a min. latter. I cant wait to hear the story behind this! 3 weeks ago there was a drive by shooting about three blocks away into a home and the man and woman that lives there were injured but alive. People are starting to move away , BUT where is any location safe from this crap?? I don't sit in front of a window anymore ! Our brick home (paid for) is as safe as it's going to get! And the St. Louis metropolitan Police department say it's safe to come down town..................THAT may be a real stretch of their imagination if ever I heard!! C.C.T.V. guns and being VERY aware of your surroundings has helped me so far! AND this isn't any April Fools joke! Keep aware and safe!

Sounds like a average day here where I live... except that I sure as hell don't wake up at 4:45 in the morning. I guess that I live close to a hospital makes it seem the same as where you live.

Yep I cant even imagine NOT locking your / my door after walking through it! It's a shame we have to live like this BUT the alternative isn't working! Everything is chained & locked down . I wanted to move to Co. 10 years ago but didn't! Now we just have to be constantly aware of our surroundings!

To be perfectly fair, I have a couple of bird dogs running loose outside that have treed the UPS man twice. (He doesn't know that they just want to play)
