Elk herd

We saw our elk herd yesterday. It amazes me how little fear of people they are. This is almost in the front yard of the local houses. I love it when they stand on the skyline.

In the rural mid-west they play havoc on the lady's plants and flower's ,I bet they love the fresh flower's and plant's up your - a -ways also! Nice picture anyway!

It sure is great to see all of the elk herd just grazing there while you took photo's. That's a lot of elk burger on the hoof.

Today's elk herd. Sharon counted 150. In the newspaper there was an article where a guy was up in the high country near here, about 30 miles away, and counted an elk herd of 1800 elk. My pictures here are just part of the herd. Notice how scared they are of civilization. They are even in the driveways.
