The boys are in Colorado! Not only here but in our old stomping grounds. We did some prospecting on Box Creek near the Derry Dredge. We have tons of stuff from that general area. Stay tuned. I'll post some links soon.

I guess I am just out of the loop on this one. I have no idea who Dave Turin is, or what his "group" is. But, not to worry on this end because I don't have any claims in Colorado. From the sound of it he must be one of the bad guys.

Dave is one of the Gold Rush guys on Friday night Discovery channel. It's a popular gold mining/reality tv program. Jim, you need to see one of the White Water episodes. It takes dredging to the stupid level. They do some unique processes on moving rocks.

Okay Leonard, that clarifies it. I don't know who these people are because I make it a point to never watch that nonsense. Early on, like in years ago, I saw a couple of these shows. It was just enough for me to get the idea that gold mining "Reality" shows had nothing to do with reality at all.

Jim, think of it more as "entertainment".
My boy lives in Nome and he said one of those dredgers only dredged for about 3 hours all season but the show made it appear as if they dredged all season.

watching anymore it is a bit like walking past a feed lot in Nebraska on a hot august day.

I saw the episode about water in the settling pound, and "water table" and where they dig and get too close the county road.

friggin' trainwreck in slow motion week by week.

everything is a crisis, Hope the county boots them. I think Park county officials have had it with the Gold Rush Discovery Crowd.

I stopped watching gold rush because of people like dave turin and one of his loader operator and their .......actions while on some one else's claim / property. Now Bering sea dredger is getting to that point also with some of the KOOKS they have on the show ! I don't know how much more I can take of the stupid stuff they're feeding us !
