I like the adjustability on your sluice as well, but may I suggest that you put some kind of "stops" at the top of the tubing in case the thumb screws vibrate loose, from what I see if that happens your sluice box will drop to the bottom of the stream.

Skip
more important your GOLD will drop to the bottom of the stream!!!!

I had takin' a notice to that too, but I figured it was a common sense deal. I do really like that adjustment.

I would also watch that flare under support, those flares are easy to buckle and bend. Trust me I have done it more than once.
Much better to support the jet or in your case the connection to the hose.

Best Of Luck !

Had planned on putting clevis pins in the tops for "stops". :D Want to see how she's going to perform before I do a different flare bracket. It's hard to see, but the flare is actually supported in the middle, may not be a problem, but who knows? Hey John Adams, I was curious as to how you came up with the limitation on lift? Please give me some insight, THANX! :)

3-Pump and horsepower are the predicating factors and utilizing a suction nozzle is the 3rd limiting factor. A powerjet has more suction but a suction nozzle has better recovery, does not cavitate when air is introduced, much better in shallow water, but the extra hose drives this old dog bonkers--a short hop lately-John

Well, a field test has been done. Worked very well for a first effort! We found nice gold and few problems. My hat is off (and down river) to Trick! Good job. Now if I can just get him to help lug my tank down to the river! HaHa!
