I got the news today that Ed Lambert. charter member of the CCC passed away. Our numbers are dwindling.

Wow! I sure hate to see this - don't know how I missed it. I didn't spend near as much time with Ed as Leonard but I spent a good amount of it and a fair amount underwater. We had a good time talking about rockets as well - he was a true rocket scientist (NASA) and had an exceptional mind.

You're right - we're dwindling. Corky Bales also died in December (86).

Ed was always one for the best be it George Dickel whiskey, cigars, and women, Mel.We had a big time at DEF in Georga. We hauled 2 4" dredges out there and rented a "Yal Haul" to bring them back. Another great trip was sapphire mining in Montana. Gent was with us on that trip.

Ed was always ready to go on a trip to Douglas Creek or Buena Vista
