OK russau, I found the Letter of Intent. And I also read Guideline #19. WY has a pretty tight leash on miners don't they? At least you can dredge there.
In CA, back when we COULD dredge, we had no such notice requirements. But who knows what the new rules will be in 2012 (?) after the new CA EIR is done and new regulations written.

So how is the water level on Douglas this year? Anyone know?

Joe they changed their rules 2 years ago. their dredge permit then was free and now it still is. so i cant complain. for the water levels, i usually goto: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/rt and click on the state/river that you want info on. Douglas Creek isnt there but you can click on streams close to it.

Hmmm. Looked at the USGS Real Time Water Data for surrounding rivers. They are running at 90%+ of all historical flow rates for the area. So water levels look good from here. Of course I could be all wet, and I hope to be too

I'm a'gittin xcited now...
been sort of busy lately, lots of family stuff going on, sorry all.
Will be arriving with 2 small dahlkes ( 4 and 2.5), a cute wife who loves to dredge, a Dodge Cummins 4x4 pulling a 26 foot outhouse for that lovely lady, plenty of good food and beverage (Can you say, "prescription-strength Margarita, por favor"?) and plenty of motivation, on Tuesday the 5th, Lord willing.
Cant wait to shake paws with you all.

PS - Where do I go to get a 4 inch permit?Not interested in necking doe=wn the dahlke, though I can... And where the heck are these claims located??? A PM for the location is preferred so leonard is not invaded by trolls and hippies........

the 4 inch permit can be aquired at the Larime office. Most of you that are coming are dredgers. I have a Minelab SD2200V2 detector that's seen zero use. Any of you that are coming, are you familiar with it's operation?

MDing is toooo rough on this ole bird! i have 2 metal detectors and dont use them! maybe they ought to go???
