Forum slow

Postby h20prospector » Wed Sep 08, 2010 11:47 am

Not sure where to post this. However, is anyone else experiencing slowness getting into this forum? I have several other forum sites on my desktop, and when I click on the icon, I get there fast. There is a delay of 10-15 seconds, and an additional delay when going from one portion of the forum to another. It just might be me, as I'm used to going from one site to another fairly fast (1-2 second delay). Comments? I'm braced for the worst.

It has been really varying today. The last few pages came up in a second or so and earlier it was 20-30 seconds. I'll watch it.

These simple database queries should be lightning fast. I told Leonard last week that this forum is *always* very slow for me.

I'm not complaining. I will pop in here every few days whether its super fast or super slow. Just wish your provider would fix the problem.

Most of the time it isn't too bad for me. About all I can do is ask you to go to http://internetsupervision.com/

You should get a page like this:

Type in golddredger.com/forum and you should get a page like this:

The seconds colum is the response time. If it;s over about 30 seconds, copy it and post it here along with the date and time. When I get a bunch of bad ones, I'll put in a trouible ticket. Otherwise, they just say "it works fine here".

This one is also except for certain times. Also, what seems to slow this one down is the sql queries that the pages make. They run against a different server. Non-database pages seem to run consistently fast.

Leonard,

It's becoming increasingly slower to log onto the forum, and navigate from topic to topic. I've gone to the site you listed and the response time is fairly quick there, but very slow when I actually get on the forum. I'm not having any of the same troubles on other forum I go to, so I'm not entirely sure what to do.
