Maybe this is a "GOOD" time to try and instigate a 2011 NW Miners Rally in Oroville. I know that most local Oroville business people really missed the activity + sales generated by it being a annual meeting.

I tried to motivate others early enough to have a 2010 meeting, but nothing happened. What I have observed in that activities along the river are much less then any recent years. I visit often year round.

yep, it was a neat rally with all kinds of good things going on. nice people, but the WDFW lieing and misleading the Rescources Coalition,Washington small scale miners for 5/7 years of meetings/work kinda did it in for me. i know, whats new with that? nothing, it seems tobe the trend with gubermint offices,

It is a sad time to be a miner , having ti fight for the right to do what was granted to us a long long time ago. Environmental wackos are destroying everything, not mining, but logging, construction and millions of jobs associated with both... sad sad sad.
Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Gene, the trouble is we are the ones to blaim! yep! us! we,as a small scale mining community didnt stand up as a whole and fight it! the old saying applies here," why is it that it costs so much to fix it the second time around?" we should have nailed it the first time it reared its ugly head, but we didnt!

My observations during the last 3 years of the meetings held in Oroville that the state was pretty cooperative and the major volunteer presence was carried on by "The Bedrock Miners". Most of the vendors seemed to be keeping busy, and the discussions/shows etc in the tent seemed popular especially the demos held on the river by Bedrock. The Kincross tour provided by the mine were something they are willing to continue if there is another meeting in the future.

yes that was all well and good. but still the WDFW lied to the Bedrock Prospectors,Resources Coalition, and the WPMA that were deeply involved in helping the WDFW develop the Washington rules for small scale miners.a lot of us were involved with Bruce Beatty and the rest of the group up there (on a much smaller scale). we went on good faith that the WDFW was working with us only to have them disregard everything small scale mining came up with.WDFWs windows is so unrealistic!!
