Hey Mike, there is certainly some nice gold on canyon creek.A few years ago when i lived in Soldotna,I got under the bridge at the Hope turnoff,and started breaking apart the bedrock that
was exposed,and found some nice color.I was impressed.Came back a week later,and there were
signs all over the place,stating of an active claim...none the less I left....and didnt ever go back there.

That water is liquid, so it's 32+ degrees.

Not neccessarily so. If it's running, it can get colder. In my younger and stupider days, I dredged 27 degree water.
