Haven't heard a word/post/nothing?? Anyone hear if Joe and misses are ok?? He's usually home by now and they had a rough start to the season this year?? Please post any info,thanx much as we gotta look out for our own-John

Maybe he is trying to figure a way to get all that Alaskan gold back down to the lower 48 or it is just payin' too good to quit now.

Envy...A state where one can dredge just about freely without all the BS and the BS restrictions. Dang it.

Joe was looking for a friend of mine in Columbia Missouri (mid-Missouri)(Jordan H.) midsummer? and i sent Joe his email addy.he was getting ready to goto Alaska then.but no word since...maybe he did better this year and aint in such a big hurry to get home toteing all his gold!???

Joe posted on AGF yesterday (10/25/10) that he is in N.Ca. visiting Jim and will be heading back back to Indy soon.

Oh Wow - Yes!!! You did!

I have briefly surfaced on my return trip from Alaska to Indiana and thought to say "Hi!" again on the forum.

Right now BJ (the Mrs.) and I are visiting with Jim and Linda Foley at their home in Northern California. A wonderful stop to catch up on all the news that has happened over the summer and to just visit with old and valued friends.

Well, in a couple of weeks we'll be back on our winter house, just west of Indianapolis, to settle in for the winter.

Until then we'll still be traveling - first to Grant's Pass, Boise and then on to Indiana.

"All things being equal", I should be back up and running at full speed about the first week of November, complete with a "full report" from the summer.

Well, BJ and I have finally arrived in Indiana until late April.

NOT one of our easier trips through Canada, down to California, out to Idaho and ending up in central Indiana. 5,555.5 actual miles door to door.

Just as a gauge to the fun we had, we had 7 (SEVEN!) flat tires on the small pop-up camper on the way down - including two at one time! Brand new tires, good older tires, tires being changed with screw drivers and such on the tailgate of the pickup - all together a rough trip. Snow in Canada and 3 sick dogs, too - not to mention both of us catching the flu on the road after California --------- yikes!

But, now we are settling in for the winter here. Firewood cutting, truck repairs and who-knows-what else. The camper will have some other axle and tire combination come spring for the return trip which should stop that kind of problem in the future.

Thanks for worrying about us everyone - it's nice to have friends to watch our back.

Glad you made it back safely, to bad that you had trouble with your trailer, but if it doesn't kill you it only makes you stronger is what they say!!!

Time to recoup and rebuild and relax a little and get ready for next year.

How did ya'll do gold wise, anything exciting, any new methods/equipment/setups worth mentioning?
