we trekked to Otoe, and Avoca today to look at acreages, didn't go all the way south. found the Eagle's Nest on Google Map. Maybe we can plan again, have to dig out the coveralls and stuff. The white stuff is bumming me out a bit.

Hey Rex, do you and your group usually get together for any spring outings?

Tim,

Water tends to be a little high in the spring.. We watch the USGS gauging site for Humboldt and check water level. a few times last year we'd get rain in Omaha and not down there and vice versa. I don't mind going if humboldt water level is less that 2.5 ft, any more than that and it's a struggle.

Have you got any dredging spots? I'm interested.

Have dredge, will travel!

Leonard,

There are several areas that might be good for the dredge. One is a bit easier to get into as long as it is dry. the field roads we use to get in to the area are good ol' nebraska dirt. We don't want to tear things up to bad and upset the farmer.. the idea of getting a dredge into the river and see if we can move more material is definitely something we've thought a lot about.

One area in particular would require dragging up stream about 1/4 mile. the other is a down hill slide about 50 yrs into the river,

I will hope Andy weighs in.. I am out of it until spring now. Momma has me on honeydo's

I've found that the answer to honeydo's is to ask for honeydo's back. When they realize that it's a 2 way street, you quit getting a whole lot of honeydo"s.

Leonard,

I've been cracking the whip, and she has been painting up a storm.. I hate paint, hate it. I make a mess of it. anything but paint of sheet rock mud!!
She has been watching a lot of HGTV and DIY TV. We've been talking about an acreage since we got married 20 yrs. Recently she got the bug because the youngest graduates HS next year and the house needs to sell before we can do anything.

I am doing my part. :D :-D time to tile the bathroom this weekend.
