Maybe that is what the environutz are so afraid of, they seen us working and figured at the rate we move we will have all of Cal sucked up before much longer.

Seattle-Times, I like that little wheelbarrow in the picture that is sized for foot trails. I was thinking of making something like that to haul my battery-operated equipment and battery down to creeks.

By the way, for any of you trommel-lovers in Colorado: the last time I stayed at the Roadhouse Lodge at Twin Lakes, Colorado, the owner had an old, funky trommel mounted on a rusty trailer that had flat tires. He inherited it when he bought a property a few blocks away and just wanted to clear the yard of old mining equipment. At the time (about three years ago) he was willing to give it free to anyone who would put new tires on the trailer and haul it away. It had an electric motor and about a barrel that was roughly 2ft wide and 5 ft long. He also has a lot of old mining drill bits and other odds and ends. The lodge ain't half bad, either. It has a beautiful view and allowed me to bring my tender foot wife along but still spend some time prospecting with Leonard.
