A lot of the counties are also appealing the plans. So call your local county reps and give them an hear full.

I've given their web page a pretty good looking over and could not find it. If you have, could you post a direct link?

Here is a link to PLP1.org and the Judges order on Eldorado NF Forest Travel Management Plan http://plp2.org/forums/showthread.php?1 ... -dismissed

You may have to copy and post the link.

Plumas, I don't know where you got your information about other off road Orgs and the counties banning together to sue because we talked with them about helping and they wanted no part of it. As amatter of fact many in the off road community promised help and support but when the rubber met the road they pulled back like rats on a sinking ship. I am checking now to see if they are getting into this, if they are, as far as I am concerned we will not go forth with the appeal and let them handle it.

They have no rights attached to their activity only the miners have the rights.

Also on the appeal to the 9th we doi feel that the Judge errored as a matter of law on 36 cfr 228 A-1 (i), and he over turned his own decision from 2005 when he gave the FS approval to go forth with the Travel Management plan but also told them not to affect prior existing rights.

Jerry

Please don't misunderstand. PLP. still has my support but a lot has been going on here lately in the north state.

Here's a good start: http://www.sierraaccess.com/ This group seems to be spearheading the efforts against the PNF. and has done very well aligning the Plumas County Supervisors who in turn, have been working closely on this issue with our representatives in Congress.

Much has been written about this in our area newspapers lately. Phone calls to the Sierra Access Coalition and some of the various County Supervisors up this way should also help bring you up to speed on our local efforts.

I made the calls and found it very enlightening.

I understood that McClintoc and the counties were upset and working on a few things and Clark is working with them. As for CORVA, they appealed on the
Eldorado Travel Management Plan but did not sue and I supect the same will happen in Plumas Travel Mangement Plan. The only thing they could do would be to turn this whole thing over legislatively, which would be good, or the they will cut deals to save a few roads and close others which will not be good for the miners. It would just further drive the wedge between users.

The County has something up their sleeve that is very positive for miners access.

Make the calls.
