Coincidental Timing of SEIR Delay

Postby CalGoldDredger » Tue Jan 04, 2011 1:00 pm

I came across this today, an EPA Restoration Plan For California.

Could this have been the reason for Stopher's sudden unexpected hasty one month delay for the SEIR and Draft Regs. Might Be, maybe not????
I'm suspicious of this and the timing of the release. Guess we shall find out in 4 weeks.

Hoser, what??? doesn't have to spread, that is where it all started in the first place, ground zero. Ok, maybe the mass is more solid and it is growing some nasty hairs on it and now. Ohhhh well, too too bad for the klamath miners.
I am glad #1 that there ain't no salmon in the Sierra and #2 no EPA restoration is needed. Still this dosen't guarantee that we all won't all be in for a Stopher of a surprise, but it appears that it may not be as bad for some of us.

Ya got the ol'gray matter stirred up a mite CGD. Been lookn' and reading old and new info by the EPA and waiting with baited breath as the published "teaser" gives no real info. EPA has been somewhat friendly as in Alaska dredge study and BAT( best available technology for reclaimation is a dredge) and it is their mantra, which makes much more sense that enviro radical bs. BUT-damnit(thanx for leaving me that GO) CDFG must wait for fedral rules and info and they overpower, outrank any/ all state statues and EIR MUST be in line with new guideance rules and info. :? More rules, regs, and plans have NEVER been miner friendly in this litigaseous enviro fueled world in lo these past 15 years in particuliar. 15 watersheds/rivers are addressed evidently and trying to figure out this lousy teaser is like trying to figure out what the Declaration of Independence says from the preamble. ;) Sitting and waiting sucks but so does my reclaimanator  John

Hoser, I was wanting to find out more about the so called new mercury studies that has been the talk of concern just recently. Can't find anything on it.
I know I read it was being prepared by the USGS, Charlie Alpers, all the info I have.
Have you or anyone else heard anything on this. It has been metioned that the CDFG was waiting on the release of this new study, another reason for the delay???? Possible Double Whammy???? :? :?

Not that I am waiting on the CDFG or their SEIR anylonger as I have finally come to a much needed decision, with great relief. :D

F'M'

tALKED TO HIM--YOU KNOW ME i I TRY TALK TO EVERYONE--(WELL MOST ANYHOW) hE'S AT THE sAC OFFICE AND THEY'RE NOW FORCED TO WORK ON PAID PROJECTS AND not REAL SCIENCE ANYMORE. aNYHOW 49r SLACKS DUG UP 2 BUCKETS A DIRT RIGHT BELOW THE mALAKOFF DIGGNS(MOST POLLUTED SPOT IN KALIF WITH MERCURY) OOPS SORRY ain't in russian though, AND TO BE UTILIZED AS A LAB STUDY TO KILL DREDGING. say what again?? Anyhow nice astute fella forced into a bad situation--sound familiar?? Oh and for the record the most polluted spot would be at HiWay 49 on the SF American crossing where the enviros/water board and CDFG contaminated with many pounds of mercury to procure a phoney dredge study that was utilized in 95 to try and kill dredging with yet another failed EIR-- game on-John :x

   I see that, no backwards N's.

2 more weeks and maybe, if no more delays, we will see what influence the EPA and USGS has on our California Suction Dredge Permits. ( Permit as in Permission :x )
I hope there is some sort of residual regulations left to work with. Regulations are a loss of freedom to begin with, and now they have to go pull this crap.

What's it going to be? Land of the Free? or is it Land of Regulations???? 1776 :x

Or are we just toast as in put some Land O' Lakes on it? Image

Unfortunately, foundit, I can't hide my operation and don't care for the toy size dredges. That and they are all over me, as I witnessed this summer, does't matter how remote I go. :x
So as Merle Haggard word say "if you don't love it, leave it" good bye California and hello Alaska, for the summer at least, dredging again. :D :D

Hey CGD:

Any idea of where your gonna look?
There are some places where public access is allowed, but unless your on a proven claim it's kinda like looking for a needle in a football field.
Really big country up there and a guy needs to do tons of research before leaving home.
I spent three weeks up there in 98 and only seen a little bit of the area and I have friends up there that we stayed with.
Just for what it's worth, I think you've got a good idea. I might look north and west of calif first, your money will go a lot further and you could do just as well.
Good fortune to you thought! :)
