National Anthem butchered

Postby h20prospector » Mon Feb 07, 2011 7:48 am

How many watched as the National Anthem was butchered  by Christina Aguilera at last night's Super Bowl? It seems those who sing the Star-Spangled Banner have to do their own rendition, rather than sing it as the song was originally meant. This is only my two cents on the subject, and I'm sure there will be those who disagree with me, but being retired military, I was embarrassed

nope they do not take there hats off any more, of course they don't teach that any more.
the girl did say yes i messed up. she forgot her place in the song when singing it. could be when she was in school they never taught the song and she only had a little time to learn it. but you got to say one thing about it. she did say i was me that messed up.

Whats neat is she issued a sincere apology. I could see how things can go bad before a live audience. And I agree with the Hoser!

Even though she F'd up, she was pro enough not to let on she did, and kept on belting out the song. Hoser and Leonard, you can have her all you want - New York minute plus. She was cute looking as a Mouseketeer, but as a 5 time Grammy artist, she should could have done a lot better. Like Tanya Tucker sang, "It's a little too late to do the right thing now" - that's what I think of her apology. All that was, was a CYA, and it was more than likely written by a PR person. I could sound sincere for the right price :D

really you guys need to watch the game a neat way. i have a satellite dish that can get any open transmission. when they do things like the Grammy or the super bowl. you can watch the feed cams if there not encrypted. its realy cool to hit the new feeds during stuff like that. you can get some funny stuff.

yep my old satilte dish had a "feature" that i could veiw the open feeds and i watched (a long time ago) the telecasters and their feed didnt stop for commercials and it kept on these guys when everyone else watched a commercial. it was funny. these guys sent messages to their wives, ordered food from one of the newscasters that was stepping out of the booth and on and on. it even left the camaras rolling all day and you could watch the groundsmen preparing for the game.all thats gone now since the DBS came out.
