Vic's Gold Panning?

Postby RiverGold » Tue Mar 08, 2011 11:13 pm

I have been out of Colorado for a couple of years. Is Vic's gold panning still open? Does anyone know if Jessie is still running it? Anyone had any good luck there last year?

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Yep, Jessie sure knows his stuff about placer mining. I really enjoy hanging out with him and trying to tap into some of that knowledge. As for the highway and other Eminent Domain plans, he was holding his own against the feds, the state and Blackhawk when I left two years ago. I guess he is still fighting them. I sure wish him luck. I would hate to see another good miner undone by government harrassment.

I have his phone numbers somewhere, but if I can't find them, I might check back with you once I put together more concrete plans for a trip back to Colorado. People here in Vermont are impressed with the pickers I got out of Jessie's hole on North Clear Creek. Not many people get anything but flour gold here in Vermont, though I have seen a few nuggets from Soter's Mine.

Thanks again for the feedback.
