I guess my stance would be that I have a valid permit. With no personal corespondance, how am I to know that it's not valid? Also the fact that I'm now retired, I have time to go to court and also jail if necessary. I would spend time and cost them money rather than give them money. Who knows, I might actually like my cell mate, Bubba?

Guys,

This latest BLM maneuver really bums me out. I bought a 4 inch Keene suction dredge to bring to BV, Colorado, with me when I retire from the USAF soon, and now learn the eco-Nazis in government once again set "policy" and "rules" and "regulations" against us...

A dredge without a stream/river is like a gun without bullets.

Soon smokers will have to get a permit to smoke inside their own home............and soon after that, jail time for lighting up...always government idiots imposing their narrow Liberal views against us and WE pay for their salaries and job to do it to us!

Sad...

yep it bums us all out, but we in the small mineing community are and have been allowing it to happen! the majority of us wont even send in comments to defend our rights, so its just natural that these wacoenviromentalists see this and take every step to take advantage of it! as they say,"we are our own worst enemys"!

Just an FYI...

I was looking through LR2000 today. It appears that 82 people filed bonds to dredge the GPAA claims in 2010. 82 x $25 = $2050. All received 2-year bonds.

I actually thought the number of dredgers along that stretch of river would be more than that.

This is the new permit for dredging along the Arkansas River and for High Banking at Cache Creek.

A few modifications to this permit are in the works, though dredging on private claims with claim owner permission will be allowed. The gpaa claim will be closed to dredging.

Thanks for the info. I have a valid permit from last year so I'll use that.

It looks like it really won't effect our private claims. Thats great!. It just emphasizes the fact that you want to get a private claim if you can. Good luck! There are people that know what they are doing watching for anything opening up.

;) Perfect example of what has driven me up the wall for many MANY years-too concentrated of usage in groups( whether true or not) are PERCEIVED as extremely invasive ,hence my own personal creed-KEEP IT CLEAN, QUIET AND LOW KEY FOR A LONG MINING LIFE. It's the squeakey wheel that get LUBED----ANALLY-John :?
