Far Beyond Average Snow & Reservoirs At Capacity

Postby CalGoldDredger » Mon May 02, 2011 6:14 pm

Here I am afraid to flush the toilet as it might trigger a serious disaster for those valley folks.

Here in Cal the major reservoirs are approaching the mid 90% range for capacity and the snow is at 192% of May 1st average and the snow hasn't even begun to melt. Do the math. :? :? :?

Hoser, it would be best to have a raft or something ready to go at all times!!!!!!!!! I drove by Oroville Res. just today. :o :? :?

one thing i have noticed. not many in the mid west yelling for govement help. you got to love the small towns. every one jumps in to get the job done.

I've lived along the Mississippi since 1960, seen many floods, tornado's, and sever storms.
Your right when things go bad, people just get together and help each other out, I've filled many sandbags and cut up down trees and shoveled others snow, pulled people out of ditches, etc. It's just something that we do. The plus is that in the long run it helps keep our taxes from going up and allows the people to get out and get the power turned back on and life back to normal.

Folks helping folks is a good thing but Eastern politics and ideas is what screwed the West.
