Been watching Metorite Men on TV, That $$$ for real? could ride around on a cruiser bicycle dragging a pvc square with magnets strung in a grid pattern.......
small runners under. Maybe!!!

yep been watching that show! theyre in a non-mechinized area. not even bicycles allowed.i like how they say its a secret location, then they show the dry lake bed outline. humph! it would take a complete idiot not tobe able to find that location and all of theyre secert individual locations! it took me about 1/2 hour! my lips are sealed!

2 horses spaced apart and rigged side by side with enough room for a lawn chair down close to the ground.

Or a heard of ? with magnets velcoed to their feet...

How can you tell what desination the dry lake bed falls? There are some roads all around the edges of that dry lake bed. And some into the flats, but not far.
If it is closed to wheeled or just motorized ? Was thinking of one of those beach sailers, 3 wheeled sailing rigs.
A look with google shows what could be a string of craters.

OK found it and about half of the dry lake is private owned but looks like for detailed boarders the field office needs to be visited to get local maps. Maps can be also purchased from map companies (high $ ) of the whole state NV.
Now the question is was that really the spot they were in? Only way for sure is to Google at an angle an compare the shows horizon to the google horizon and match them up.
A lot of work.
