I see that the Forest Service is shutting down prospecting in the Elephant Rock public access area just north of Buena Vista. Anybody have any ideas why?

getting close to poppa! i hope they dont start messing with claim owners accessing their claims or campping/parking locations!

the FS explaination is is that theres to much activity there. and the GPAA didnt want to go through all the steps/hoops to file out the paper work. Blake Horman (GPAA) explained the decission real well on their website awhile back.its been beat to death anyway!
