Ninth Inning on AB 120

Postby jerhobbs » Fri Jul 15, 2011 7:35 pm

Hi all,

Below is the latest Action Alert sent out by Trout Underground today.

http://troutunderground.com/2011/07/15/ ... g-program/

It appears that our adversaries are trying to win AB120 by hitting the Governors office with a landslide of "click n send" postcards.

We need all the support we can muster now! Please continue to Fax or Call Governor Brown and get your Opposition on record this weekend:
Simply state that you are calling about AB120, suction dredging, and that you Oppose the Legislation.

How many buddies can you help make a fax or phone call? Each and every voice counts now.

Governor Brown

Phone: (916) 445-2841
Fax: (916) 558-3160

Thanks for your continued participation!

my comment

up here in the soviet socialist republic of oryganistan non slip felt soles are now banned because of rock snot, boats and trailers must be washed between lakes to curb the spread of mil foil weed. and soon mark my words your fishing lures will be “water body specific” once used in lake, stream “A” they will not be allowed in any other water body. a fish biologist told me hook and release has a 90% mortality rate, dredging has a 0% fish mortality rate. so using this info just what should these epost card really say?

maybe …. dear governor
please reign in your commy/greeny rights denying Politburo

thank you

It looks as though the Gov isn't taking any E-mail at the present, and I had such a good letter to plop on his desk. Here's a copy of the letter.

Governor Brown, 07/16/2011

I do not presently live in California But I did for many years, San Diego, before going into the Air Force. I am now retired living in Tillamook, OR but it is not unconceivable that I might visit California as the quest of “Small Scale Miner” acquaintance met through our shared interest on Internet forums. It would be a shame if all the streams were closed to small scale mining brought about by your signature on AB120.

I know that California is presently having financial problems and I can’t believe that you would sign into law a bill that would destroy an industry. The mining equipment manufactures would shut down and move to other states, small businesses that support the miners i.e. retail equipment sales outlets, grocery stores, small motels etc. would be forced to close there doors and also move somewhere else to make a living. The loss of those many millions to the tax coffers would plunge the state into an even deeper financial crisis.

I implore you governor push do not these good hard working people and their businesses out of the state I once proudly called my home.

Respectfully,
Dennis P. Sheridan TSgt, USAF Retired
Tillamook, OR
