Randy do us all a favor and stuff yourself in a bottle, throw yourself in the ocean and find someplace else to invest.

As I said before me and my bud in our club went to a few of the meetings(I know ,what a waste right!). We did what we could. I hope that if there is something comming up someone tells us!!!! Hell,I even built a sacrificial dredge and was gonna go in with it to force the issue with DFG, but noone cared.I was told I was on my own by more than one mining group, even my own club!! They wouldn't even tell me if they'd get me a lawyer, cause I was gonna push the issue to be arrested! (I've been to jail before,no big deal!) Still ready to go!

Russ, I didn't get a chance to read his insults against you, the PLP, and others. I wish I had more $ to contribute to them. They have done great things for us, but we ourselves have shot our own foot by not doing as much as we could.

Keene and Proline will continue to sell dredges to third world countries and to people in the US that can still dredge, but I expect this cancer will spread through out the US.
I see this as a modern day Prohibition on dredging same as went on over alcohol in the 20's
What may have worked first would have been every dredger in the state do a "dredge in", Pick a location in a navigable river or several and take full page adds out in the Sacramento and LA papers telling everybody what they were going to do and WHY, then defy the State to act.
It's showing the people that the dredgers were being oppressed and selling it to the media.

Comments any one? :?:

I did come along awhile ago and offer my 40 acre patent on the S. Fork of the American ( has 3/4 mile of river) to do such a "show of force" but got no, zero, nada interest. The way I see this is to get a tube of KY jelly and stand up and take it like a man and move on.... HeII, I even offered at one time for people to send me hand written letters so I could personally deliver them to the Gov and you know what... I got 4! Also did my one man protest in front of the Capitol ..... reason it was one man... I was the only one that showed up

Hi Steve:

I remember your post. I'm old enough to remember the tree huggers chaining themselves to the redwoods. I used to read Outdoor Life and other nature magazines and remember reading articles trying to mobilize the folks to stop decimating the wilderness. I'm not a fan of clear cutting the forest or controlled burns, BUT!!!!!! somebody is.

What I didn't read was miners from CAL Protesting the moratorium on dredging and getting up petitions and challenging Politicians to stop this travesty.
Oregon seems to be getting some action, But it's still big money that's directing the agenda and getting the enviro's to fight the fight while they sit back and just write checks.
What nobody has commented on is why do they want to stop dredging. When you understand that question, you know who the enemy is and what you have to do to fight them.

Just my humble opinion and I don't live in CA or own a dredge.
