We have been wanting to get back up in the mountains and find a little color. If things go right, we should be up in Colorado for Labor Day and a week or two following. I just need to get BellaBug a little pink gold pan.
Oh...and warn her about all her "Uncles" around the camp fire.

Russ,

I'm gonna be in Lake George CO, this year for family vacation the week of the 16th to the 24th of July.. I am planning on going to the Arkansas on High Hope if Leonard's around, Cache Creek or GPAA Yankee Hill if the water is too high in the Arkansas. if you need to get a pan in the water, and Douglas is a route this year, maybe you guys can head that way instead?

Hey, Russ!

Send me a PM. I tried sending one your way, and have been having a brain cramp I guess.

well them BLM ladys took care of me and i have my application filled out and they said that i dont have to wait for the geologist to reveiw it or the area because Ed and Leonard (claim owners) already have it taken care of,and have their permits! so all i have todo is get there, drop my trailer and goto there Salida office and give the form to Heather. she already is upto date on my application. OTHERWISE, they "could" take upto 15 days to reveiw my application and the site, and that would mean that id have to pass on dredgeing, and that aint a good thing!

You better be extra carefull on the Arkansas. If you and the hoser almost let "lil ol" Douglas Creek take your dredge away, you will really be impressed with the Arkansas. It's a whole nother ball game!

Leonard if youll remember, "lil ole" Douglas creek was running hot and heavy last year! we had Lee across the creek with a rope on the dredge, hoser and I were on the tail end of the dredge and thought it would just swing over to the other side, but it almost took John down and up against that ole dead tree that crossed DC. Johns eyes were VERY big at that mounment! it darned near tore my pontoons from the frame.i ended up replaceing every mounting nut in the pontoon! yea,lil ole DC my foot! id like to have seen wallys eyes when he got into lil ole DC this year!thats something i wouldnt do! im to pretty to die so young!haha
