wallymi wrote:Well I'm home got the old neck fused (third time) and now I get to recover for six weeks. Only got to dredge about three hours all together the high water just would not let me out where the big gold was. It tried several times to take me down the rapids downstream, a real thrill ride for sure. I'm just down from the bridge that Leonard was takeing the video from but I tried anyway even with the rocks bouncing down thur there you could hear them. Well there is next year

Speedy recovery Wally. Hopefully, this will be the last neck surgery you'd need.

Forest Road 512 Bridge Over Douglas Creek to Undergo Replacement

Beginning on Sept. 6 and lasting approximately 2 weeks, visitors need to be aware that Forest Road 512 will be closed for deck replacement on the bridge over Douglas Creek. Decking needs to be replaced in order to meet load weight requirements for log trucks. Located at mm 8.5 on the 512 road. Prep work has already begun on the project, but the Laramie Ranger District will wait until after the Labor Day weekend to close bridge.

Russ,
Your 2" should be easier to handle than your 4" :) You should get more bottom time this way ;) I'm trying to find a small (4x6) enclosed trailer to haul my junk in, plus I can pitch my tent next to it so it won't be blown all over the place. Found on on Craigslist Kansas, but it's more than I want to pay :( I'll have to hit some Safeway stores to get some more totes to haul all my gear and concentrates in too. Also need to snag a good mask and snorkel, plus a regulator and harness. Hope to see you on the flats or wherever we camp. I'll start saving my pennies now for the trip next year :)
