Mount San Jacinto. Bean there, done that.
There were a few little creeks on the mountain, and there was a little mining signs around. Didn't have a pan, so couldn't look for any. And it is a State Park, so I suppose somebody's panties might have gotten wadded up.

Leoanrd, I bet you took the sissy way to the top. I took the stroll up from Idyllwild (which is over the mountain to the southeast from Palm Springs). Somewhere I got pictures, but I don't think I scanned any of them.

We also climbed San Gorgonio, the larger mountain to the north west (on the other side of the freeway). That was a different trip.

well everything was lineup for the trip. no snow or frezzing temps had the landowners permission, found a good pub/steak house close, but the rain is hitting Missouri/Illinois/Indiana for the next 3-4 days,so that knocks that trip out! theres no point in driveing 5 hours to get there only to turn around and drive 5 hours back! Thanks anyway Mike!we will try again another day!
