Leonard i hope today you have the best day! shareing your day with the fire department there in AZ. has got tobe a great way to show your thanks! Happy Thanksgiving to you and all the members of that house!
I'm on my way home. I checked the weather and there is a snow strom heading to Denver and Colorado thursday.
Right now I'm sitting in a Motel 6 in Santa Fe, Nm. I should be home tomorrow evening. I have a cold one sitting here and a pizza on it's way to my room. The 6 week oddessy is almost over. At least until next year. I
've seen so many neat things that most people just blast by because they don't have the time to just sit around. I am lucky that in my retirement, I have enough extra money that I can spend it doing next to nothing. My 9 day stay at the RV park ended up costing me $40.00. He would have taken less if I didn't have it. As he told one of the guys in the park when he was short a little money for a pop, "thats fine. Some days this is a business and some days it's a hobby. Today it's a hobby".
I couldn't agree more with that statement and I'll add this. There are a lot more nice people in America that we realize. All you got to do to find out is walk up and say Hello.
We have all met people like that, but far fewer, that the nice folk that would give the shirt off their back to help someone in need.
GO:
Hope you catch a lot of fish while your down there. As an aside, Wish Cathy the best if your get a chance to see her. I hope things are getting better for her.
The optimist is back at home! It was a great 6 weeks but it's nice to be back. I'll be ready for a new trip after the first of the new year. I'll be posting more pictures and stories over the next few weeks.
